Important Information Regarding COVID-19

4/23/2020 UPDATE

In light of all the changes that COVID-19 has brought to our world, we are doing everything we can to keep our patients, families and community healthy & safe. The New Mexico Dental Board and Department of Health have made changes to how dentistry can be practiced at this time. Our office will comply with these recommendations in an effort to protect the public and slow the spread of this virus. We are open at reduced hours and serving our community as best as we can while keeping our families safe as well. We are providing emergency dental care to patients for infection and severe pain. We have partnered with our local Emergency Departments in an effort to reduce the burden on our hospitals and to serve our community. We are very proud of the efforts our hospitals, medical offices and community here in Southeastern New Mexico have made. At this time we are continuing to provide care to our patients and community by providing surgical treatment of infections, swellings and pain. For some patients we are able to triage and assist through phone calls or video chat. If you are having pain, infection or swelling please call our office at 575-622-4455 as we will respond as soon as possible. If you are experiencing a true dental emergency you may reach out to our doctors emergency line at 575-347-1884.

While we miss our wonderful patients (and their teeth), everyone’s wellbeing and safety is our number one priority. Our patients are the heart of our practice and business. We truly value your support and loyalty. Together we will get through this.

Be well,

Carabelli Team

In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we will keep you updated regularly.

Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.

We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
